Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing general millwright work which includes maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and facility. Managing the internal maintenance software program, review, refine, or create preventive maintenance schedules. Establish and/or maintain contractor lists and act as a liaison between management and contractors. Work with management to procure mechanical parts and consumables. Provide basic facility maintenance duties. Work with management on maintenance projects.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Establish and implement preventative maintenance programs on plant equipment and building services.
  • Trouble-shoot all equipment breakdown situations and institute repairs or recommend solutions and oversee all outside maintenance work.
  • Establish and/or maintain a list of certified outside maintenance providers.
  • Minimize equipment downtime and outside costs.
  • Maintenance of equipment such as, but not limited to; band saws, paint spray systems, conveyors, and hydraulic systems, oxy/acetylene & MIG welding systems, various hand tools and pneumatic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls and CNC Equipment
  • Work with management to develop upgraded Safe Operating Procedures

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Red Seal 433 Ticketed Millwright
  • Strong mechanical and analytical skills.
  • Must have experience working with hydraulics
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt prioritization quickly.
  • Understands and abides by all necessary codes and regulations.
  • Ability to research efficiently.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have experience working with internal maintenance software systems or a keen interest in learning our system.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must have an ability to work closely with management on medium to large projects.
  • Must be fluent in English and French

  • CWB Welding Certificate
  • Knowledge of electrical systems
  • Forklift License
  • EWP Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Certificate

Hourly Rate: $ 36.65 / hr

PRIMARY SHIFT: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
