Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of General Labourer in our London, ON location.
Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring safe procedures are followed while performing job responsibilities
- Complying with workplace policies and procedures (operational and health and safety)
- Running overhead crane and forklift
- Picking and packaging material according to customer specifications
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Ensuring quality customer service.
Education and Skills Required:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Able to perform some heavy lifting
- Able to accommodate shift work
- Good knowledge of math and measurements
- Effective communication skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and attention to detail
- Highly safety-oriented, strong situational awareness
- Strong sense of personal accountability
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience operating overhead cranes, band saws, and forklifts.
Shift: Day (7am-3pm) / Afternoon (3pm-11pm) ROTATION (.85 cent premium on afternoon shift)
Wage: $21.84 / hr
