Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing safe delivery of steel products to our valued customers in a timely manner.

Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug evaluation.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • The Operator, prior to departure, is responsible for checking the load and making sure that it complies with the BOL (where possible) for size, quantity and sequence of delivery.  
  • The Operator is responsible for securing the load in a safe manner that will not damage the material.
  • The Operator is responsible for ensuring that proper material is unloaded with the boom crane and each customer signs paperwork documenting receipt of material.  All discrepancies should be reported to Operations Manager or Sales Manager prior to departing the customer or immediately thereafter.
  • The Operator is responsible for the cleanliness of their truck and will be required to pass unannounced truck inspections.
  • The Operator is responsible for maintaining a current working knowledge of M.T.O. Regulations and complies with these regulations.
  • Troubleshoot minor maintenance issues and report to management
  • Help with material handling when required

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Valid AZ License
  • Minimum 2 Years Experience
  • Boom Crane Certification or willingness to acquire the necessary certification.
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Experience and knowledge of Electronic Log Devices.
  • Understands defensive driving techniques.
  • Experience working with flatbed trailers.
  • Understands load securement requirements.
  • Ability to perform basic truck and trailer maintenance (changing straps, retorquing tires, etc.).
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must have a general good attitude and willingness to help others
