Job Summary:
The Yard Worker will assist and support plant personnel to efficiently process orders to customer specifications. This is a DAY/AFTERNOON rotating position that will work 7:00 am - 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (+.75 shift premium).
The Yard Worker works outdoors so working in the elements is a requirement.
Due to our safety sensitive work environment, employment is conditional upon successfully passing a medical assessment including drug testing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Comply with workplace policies and procedures (operational and health and safety)
- Complete pre-inspection equipment reports before each shift
- Accurately pick material for shipment to customer
- Ensure safe procedures are followed while loading and unloading material on or off trucks
- Perform all housekeeping responsibilities
- Comply with workplace policies and procedures (operational and health and safety).
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in the English language (reading, writing)
- Able to work as a team and independently
- Ability to work in a fast-pace environment
- Strong attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferable:
- Relevant experience with the ability to operate forklift, overhead crane, and band saw as required
Hourly Rate: $26.84 (Start - 60 days), $27.84 (60 days - 120 days), $28.84 (FULL RATE)
