Russel Metals is currently seeking someone who is eager to learn, committed to having a safe and healthy workplace and to ensuring the delivery of quality products for the position of General Labourer in our Puslinch, Ontario Branch. This is a full-time, permanent position that reports directly to the Shift Supervisor. Day/Afternoon shift rotation; 1 week DAYS (7am-3pm) / 1 week AFTERNOONS (3pm-11pm)

Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical which includes a drug screen.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring safe procedures are followed while performing job responsibilities
• Complying with workplace policies and procedures (operational and health and safety)
• Running overhead crane and forklift
• Picking and packaging material according to customer specifications
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Ensuring quality customer service.

Requirements:

• Able to work shift work
• Able to perform some heavy lifting
• Good knowledge of math and measurements
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated, results oriented.

Preferred:

• Experience in operating overhead cranes and forklift.
• Experience working with steel and hand tools.

Shift: Day/Afternoon rotation; 1 week DAYS (7am-3pm) / 1 week AFTERNOONS (3pm-11pm)

Hourly Rate: $24.61- $26.00
