Color Steels is currently looking for a Scheduler at our Thornhill, ON location.
The Scheduler will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our production and shipping processes. This individual will be responsible for planning, organizing, and maintaining both the production and shipping schedules while working closely with various teams across the company to meet deadlines and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling: Plan, coordinate, and maintain the production schedule to ensure optimal production output while meeting customer deadlines.
- Shipping Scheduling: Organize and maintain the shipping schedule, ensuring timely deliveries and alignment with production timelines.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, purchasing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination across all departments.
- Additional Responsibilities: Support other operational activities as needed to maintain workflow efficiency and meet company goals.
- Problem-Solving & Reporting: Proactively address scheduling challenges and assist in troubleshooting any issues that may arise during production or shipping.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma (post-secondary education in a related field is an asset).
- Experience: Previous experience in scheduling, production planning, or a similar role is highly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with product knowledge and customer service experience is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn and utilize our ERP system.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrates a strong customer-first mindset and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and foster a cooperative work environment.
