Russel Metals is seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our Winnipeg, MB team. This individual will play a key role in growing revenue by selling as-is and value-added processing services. In this role, you will be responsible for nurturing existing customer relationships, developing new ones, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support throughout the sales process.
The successful candidate will work closely with operations, purchasing, and outside sales to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Sales Support: Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and assist with order processing to ensure a seamless buying experience.
- Account Management: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, building value for customers while driving sales growth.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the scheduling, warehouse and operations team to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends and customer feedback to anticipate market needs and promote new products effectively.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business, sales, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in Inside Sales or Customer Service is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in Steel Industry will be a consideration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
