Its network of metals service centers carries an extensive line of metal products in a wide range of sizes, shapes and specifications, including carbon hot rolled and cold finished steel, pipe and tubular products, stainless steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous specialty metals. Its energy field stores carry a specialized product line focused on the needs of energy industry customers. Its steel distributors operations act as master distributors selling steel in large volumes to other steel service centers and large equipment manufacturers mainly on an "as is" basis.
Established in 1978 and located at the head of Lake Superior, Thunder Bay Terminals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Russel Metals Inc, provides a transportation link between rail and vessel for the movement of coal from mines in Western Canada to Ontario and other domestic and international markets.
We are currently hiring a full-time Warehouse Manager within our Thunder Bay Terminals branch located in Thunder Bay, ON. This is an in-person position. Hours of work are Monday - Friday from 8am - 4:15pm.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage daily operation of site warehouse.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accept shipments and monitor warehouse inventory.
- Order and replace parts, equipment and material as required.
- Responsible for warehouse access and security as well as site access through front gate.
- Log parts and material on site used 4-Site software.
- Conduct a full inventory of all warehouse parts and material and balance on 4-Site program.
- Conduct an annual full warehouse inventory.
- Monitor and record site fuel use.
- Sign out warehouse tools to site staff and ensure tools are returned.
- Maintain up to date forklift training certificate and operate warehouse forklift in a safe manner.
- Maintain warehouse hours from 08:00 to 16:15 daily from Monday to Friday excluding regularly recognized stat holidays.
- Maintain warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion. Do minor cleanup as required.
- Arrange disposal of site used oil by MOE approved supplier
- Forward all received receipts, invoices and documentation to assigned office staff for filing and payment.
- Physical requirements of the position will require lifting and climbing and will include walking or standing on hard surfaces.
- Work within company policies in regard to health and safety.
- Follow company policy as laid out in regards to drugs and alcohol and pass pre-employment drug testing and physical.
- Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Work in a cohesive fashion with fellow employees with zero tolerance to harassment and physical violence.
Salary Range: $60,000-70,000 / year
