Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of Welder in our Saskatoon, SK location.
Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug screen.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Welding and tacking of various grades, thicknesses and types of metals
- Use various welding equipment and hand tools such as grinder, drills, bandsaw, etc.
- Operate an overhead crane and forklift
- Read drawings and measure accurately to confirm product conformance
- Assisting at other work centers in the shop as required. This may involve various aspects of metal cutting, forming, and machining.
Education and Skills Required:
- Experience tacking and welding with GMAW, SMAW, FCAW/MCAW and/or GTAW process on various grades, thicknesses, and types of metal including steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum.
- Should be trade-tested or have certification related to Welding and Fabrication (CWB, Red Seal, etc.)
- Safety-conscious and able to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
