Color Steels Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of Purchaser in our Thornhill, ON location. 

Vacancy Status: New headcount

Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug evaluation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Purchasing of metal and expediting on a daily basis
• Purchase order entry of all other major purchases
• Build strong partnerships with key vendors
• Networking and after-hours events as required
• Knowledge and/or quick learner of our Invex ERP system
• Work closely with sales and scheduling
• Work closely with logistics and inventory management

Education and Skills Required:

• Post secondary education is an asset
• Strong communication skills
• Advanced problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated and results oriented
• Similar purchasing experience, especially in the metals industry, would be an asset.

Base Salary: $50,000 - $70,000
