Russel Metals Atlantic carry a broad line of metal products in a wide range of sizes, shapes and specifications, including carbon hot rolled and cold finished steel, pipe and tubular products, stainless steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous specialty metals. We perform plasma and laser burning, using computer aided design and precision saw cutting services. All of this provided by our in house equipment.

We are currently seeking an individual who is eager to learn, committed to having a safe and healthy workplace and to ensuring the delivery of quality products for the position of Warehouse Person in our Mount Pearl, NL Branch.
Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug screening.
Position:
The warehouse person will assist and support plant personnel to efficiently pick and process orders to customer specifications.
Standard Hours of work: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete pre-inspection equipment reports before each shift.
- Ensure safe procedures are followed while loading and unloading material on or off trucks.
- Perform all housekeeping responsibilities after each job is completed.
- Comply with workplace policies and procedures (operational and health and safety).
- Operating overhead crane and forklift.
- Picking and packaging material according to customer specifications.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Ensuring quality customer service.
- Be a team player and help fellow coworkers.
- Perform all tasks in a respectful professional manner.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned by management.
- Participate in all company directed training.
Job Requirements:
- Able to work overtime hours including weekends and evening shifts.
- Able to perform some heavy lifting.
- Good knowledge of math and measurements.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, results oriented.
- Strong attention to detail.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
