Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of Saw Operator (Beam Yard) in our Nisku, AB location.

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete pre-inspection equipment reports before each shift including Saws / Cranes and or any other equipment used
• Perform all tasks safely and as directed
• Comply with all workplace policies including health and safety
• Be a team player
• Perform all tasks in a professional, respectful manner
• Any other tasks that may be assigned by management
• Participate in all company directed training
• Responsible for selecting the correct material in order to saw cut customer orders as required
• Organize work to consistently meet established production and quality targets

Job Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• May be required to work rotating shifts
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Minimum two years of experience operating overhead cranes
• Previous experience with saw cutting
• Proficient in performing mathematical calculations with ability to read a tape measure / calipers
• Self motivated, results oriented
