Russel Metals is seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Inside Structural Steel Sales Representative to join our Ontario Team, focusing on the Structural Steel market. This individual will play a key role in growing revenue by selling as-is and value-added processing services to structural, custom and OEM fabricators to an existing customer base. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, purchasing, and outside sales to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Location: Cambridge or Stoney Creek, Ontario
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Promote and sell value-added processing services tailored to customer needs.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate production timelines and delivery.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure ongoing satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
- Manage all contracts with clients ensuring schedules are updated and met, efficient use of inventories as planned, and accuracy of billing per project
- Respond to inbound inquiries and proactively engage in outbound calls to drive business.
- Maintain up-to-date product, market and industry knowledge.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business, sales, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience, ideally in the metals or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of value-added metal processing services. Reading customer drawings is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP/CRM systems.
- Team players with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 plus commission
