Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of Warehouse Person in our Red Deer, AB location. This is a full-time, permanent position that reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe work procedures are followed
- Able to handle fast paced environment
- Various lift trucks and use other types of hand tools as required
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts (training provided)
- Chain rigging loads safely
- Pick and package material according to customer orders and specifications
- Load and unload trucks
- Ensure superior customer service
- Detail orientated
- Comply with workplace policies and procedures (operational, quality and health and safety)
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent (those with experience in the industry will also be given consideration)
- Able to work afternoons (11:30am-8:00pm) Monday to Friday
- Able to perform some heavy lifting, bending over to hook up loads, standing for periods of time and climbing.
- Good knowledge of math and measurements
- Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated, results oriented
Hourly Rate: $27.75 / hr
Shift: Monday – Friday, 11:30 am – 8:00 pm
