Russel Metals is looking for an organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our Communications team at our Corporate Office in Mississauga, ON. Reporting to the Director of Communications and working closely with the Communications Specialist, this role supports a variety of communication projects and initiatives. This is a 12-month contract position.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position works predominantly in-office.
Vacancy Status: New headcount
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, invoice processing, and record maintenance
- Assist with communication projects, campaigns, events, and content production
- Support digital media operations, maintain digital asset libraries, and coordinate Google Page verification across branch locations
- Prepare, proofread, and format documents, presentations, newsletters, and reports
- Support internal communications and organizational announcements
- Support department workflows, and perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Technically savvy with proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Familiarity with basic design tools, media management systems, and social media platforms
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Professional, dependable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion
Salary Range: $48,000 - $50,000
